Bibitaw na Ako

Ayoko sanang bumitaw,
Gusto ko sanang tuparin mga pangako ko sayo.
Batid ko rin na ayaw mo nang maghintay.
Alam ko mga pagkukulang sayo,

Ngunit wala akong magawa,
Kundi iadya ang lahat ng ito sa Maylikha.
Alam ko na sa bawat pananatili mo.
Umaasa ka na masilayan ako.

Ngunit mailap ang tadhana sa atin.
Pilit tayong pinaglalayo.
Laging humahadlang ang bawat sandali,
Na nais nating magkapiling.

Natakot ako na baka mapagod ka.
Natakot ako na bumitaw ka.
Natakot ako na di na kita masilayan pa.
Pero mas natatakot akong
di kita makasama habambuhay.

Natakot akong di matupad ang mga pangako ko sayo.
Pero mas takot akong masumpungan mo ang tunay na ligaya sa kanya.
Natatakot akong kapag handa na ako.
Masaya na ikaw sa piling niya.

Kaya ngayon palang bibitaw na ako.
Bibitaw na ako sa mga pangako nating dalawa.
Pangako nating dalawa na ikaw at ako.
Tayo hanggang sa huli.

Wala na ang salitang tayo.
Wala ng ang ikaw at ako.
Maaaring sa kanya ka lumigaya.
Sa kanya masusumpungan mo ang tunay na ligaya.

Ligayang ninanais mo noon pa man.
Kaya malaya ka na,
hanapin mo na ang iyong ligaya.

    (Achilles ; pronounces ‘a’ as in cat, then ‘kill’ then ‘ease’ = ‘a-kill-ease’ for Achilles heel = only weakness of someone who might outwardly appear to have none)

  2. Yeah it is,
    The promise is to met him and stayed on him forever but it won’t happens coz the poet is giving up.
    Him
    Obviously from Earth
    Poet hoped that if she let go of him, he might find the right person/woman for him, who is strong enough to kept on promises.

  3. 5 quick questions;
    Verse 2 ; what is the poet to be spared from , is it disappointment?
    What are the two promises?
    Who is ‘him’ in ‘True happiness in him? Is it the creator?
    is the poet in the poem from the heavens or the earth?
    Who would the poet hope that he would be happy with ?
