Tanaga | Tula | Poem

Titig mong nakakalusaw
Puso ko’y sabik at uhaw
Pintig nito’y sinisigaw
Ikaw lamang araw-araw
Simbuyo ng damdamin
Huwag mong pairalin
Kawangis nito’y pighati
Luha’y ikubli sa ngiti

A tanaga is a short poetic form that’s the Filipino equivalent of the Japanese haiku. It is an untitled poem of four lines with each line equally having seven to nine syllables.
