It is our image;
Who we are.
It is our resemblance;
Of what we’ve done.

It is the creation;
For entitlement of ourselves.
For who we are;
Is our reflection.

Our deeds to society;
Will reflects to everyone.
It will mold to them;
Or an inspiration.

Book Review : THE LITTLE PRINCE by Antoine de Saint-Exupery

And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.

Grown-ups never understand anything by themselves, and it is tiresome for children to be always and forever explaining things to them.

SUMMARY: The narrator- a pilot – crashed his airplane in Sahara. One day, he awakened by children voice who asked him to draw a sheep. That’s how he gets initiate with The Prince. The Prince live in a very small planet asteroid B-612 with three volcanoes and a special rose. He spends his I days caring for it, pulling out little baobab trees because if not it will rip his planet apart.

Then, The Prince left his planet for journey to planets. Each planet he visited is inhabited by one grown-up. First, The King who love powers but there are nothing to be ruled. The Conceited Man, who love to be admired but he lives alone. The Drunkard, who drinks to forget that he is ashamed of drinking. The businessman, who is always busy counting stars. The Lamplighter, who lives on an asteroid which rotates once a minute and he always torn on-off the lamp once in every minute. The Geographer, who spend his time making maps, but never go anywhere . Then on Earth, the Prince doesn’t see anyone but snake and a dessert flower. Then he find a whole row of rosebushes and realize that rose in his planet doesn’t special. But then he met a fox, who explains to the Prince that his rose in his planet is unique and special, because the rose could tamed him and make him care for the rose .

Then finally he meet men, the narrator. One day, he realizes that he has responsibility with his rose, so he came back to his small planet.

PHILOSOPHICAL IDEAS

• As the little prince watched to lamplighter, he felt that he loved this lamplighter who was so faithful to his orders. He remembered the sunsets which he himself had gone to seek, in other days, merely by pulling up his chair, and he wanted to help his friend.
• For it is possible to a man to be faithful and lazy sometimes.
• What is essential that is invisible to the eye?
• The time you waisted, are the time makes you complete.
• For some, who are travellers, the stars are guides, For others they are no more than little lights in the sky .For others, who are scholars, they are problems . But all these stars are silent.

LIFE APPLICATION: Being a kid is the most important figure of life. Life is full of surprises ,changes are constant. Learn how to value every single moment of life because we don’t know when our deadline in this world. As long as we have a time to correct our mistakes correct it and learn from it. Don’t be scare to live in this world. Keep on fighting to win every battle we are going to encounter because it is part of our success. Happiness is the key for our success so simply enjoy what we are doing.
