He blesses us with His light. In Him, we too are the children of God. In Him, we can approach the Father and cry out, Abba. We are given everything, including even a higher state of grace than what Adam experienced before his fall into sin, because we acknowledge that we are nothing without the loving intercession of His Son. Our life is everlasting, because it is not our own. Our years in Christ are enduring, while our years in the old Adam are short and brutal. This is a great mystery which in the end defies our understanding, and yet we can have faith in it. Moreover, we can start to approach this mystery first in our reflection on His Word and in our poems, our songs, and our spoken and unspoken words generally.
